There’s a statue of Foster overlooking the Ohio river in Alms Park that prompted WVXU's Bill Rinehart to feature him in his Cincinnati mysteries segment, OKI Wanna Know. WVXU turned to University of Cincinnati music history expert Kristy Swift for a peek into Foster’s life and impact in the region. “Stephen Foster's music and persona has shown up culturally in many places,” Swift, assistant professor of music studies at the College-Conservatory of Music, told WVXU.

Drone-delivered groceries descending into Cincinnati

Host Scott Sloan spoke with Michael Jones, associate professor of economics at the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business, for a look at what it means for Cincinnati shoppers. Jones said that Cincinnati-based rival grocer Kroger had tested implementing drone delivery in Ohio already, but discontinued its pilot program. “Being able to deliver this technology right in the heart of where Kroger’s headquarters is a message that [Walmart is] trying to send,” Jones told 700WLW.
