(AP) — After an explosion rocked a steel plant outside Pittsburgh, workers scrambled into the wreckage alongside firefighters directing streams of water, as black smoke rose into the air. By the time the scene was secure, two people were dead and more than 10 others were injured, including one who spent hours trapped in rubble left Monday by the blast that was powerful enough to shake nearby homes.

ATLANTA (AP) — The man who fired more than 180 shots with a long gun at the headquarters of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention broke into a locked safe to get his father’s weapons and wanted to send a message against COVID-19 vaccines, authorities said Tuesday. Documents found in a search of the home where Patrick Joseph White had lived with his parents “expressed the shooter’s discontent with the COVID-19 vaccinations,” Georgia Bureau of Investigation Director Chris Hosey said.

Downtown Las Vegas casino removing live dealer table games

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – The oldest hotel in Las Vegas is removing all live dealer games and replacing them with electronic table games, according to the CEO of Circa Resort & Casino. The Golden Gate Hotel & Casino will no longer have live table dealer games, as the property is “reimagining” its casino floor with electronic table games, a first in Downtown Las Vegas, Circa CEO Derek Stevens said in a statement Monday.
