Randolph man placed on probation for breaking into Berlin Walmart

BARRE — A Randolph man has been placed on probation for breaking into the Walmart in Berlin. Daniel James Bjornson, 50, pleaded guilty Tuesday in Washington County criminal court in Barre to a misdemeanor count of unlawful trespass. Bjornson was sentenced to zero to 90 days, all suspended and was placed on probation for two years.

Websterville water system receives award for best-tasting surface water in the state

BARRE TOWN — Websterville's water system was one vote away from winning best tasting water in the state. And a couple of long-serving volunteers will be recognized with a plaque at the town's pickleball courts. At its regular meeting Tuesday night, the select board recognized its water system operators for recently winning best tasting water in the surface category at the Vermont Rural Water Association's annual conference held last month.

Websterville water system receives award for best-tasting surface water in the state

BARRE TOWN — Websterville’s water system was one vote away from winning best tasting water in the state. At its regular meeting Tuesday night, the select board recognized its water system operators for recently winning best tasting water in the surface category at the Vermont Rural Water Association’s annual conference held last month. The town’s water system in Websterville, which received the award, missed winning the overall state championship by one vote.
