UNC Pembroke breaks ground on $96M optometric facility

ROBESON COUNTY. N.C (WBTW) — UNC Pembroke officials broke ground on a $96 million Clinical Sciences building, which will house the new College of Optometric Medicine. This project marks the establishment of the first public optometry school in North Carolina and within the UNC system. The 74,000-square-foot building is designed to feature advanced clinical training labs, simulation spaces and patient care areas.
