Small hail, gusty winds and heavy rainfall is likely. The main concern for our region is the accumulating rainfall, which could lead to flooding. Gov. Abbott has activated state emergency response resourcesahead of the storms, with rescue and safety teams deployed across the state.

WACO, Texas — Strong winds are sweeping across Central Texas Wednesday as the long-awaited cold front moves through the region. If you're not careful, your Halloween decorations could very well end up down the street! Sustained winds of 15 to 20 mph have battered Waco and the surrounding areas throughout the day, with some recorded gusts reaching as high as 30 to 35 mph.
