Skeletal-muscle-targeted non-viral delivery of full-length DMD mRNA for Duchenne muscular dystrophy
|
Abstract Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) is a severe, progressive muscle-wasting disorder caused by mutations in the DMD gene, which encodes dystrophin. Although gene therapy using viral vectors has shown promise for the treatment of DMD, the clinical application of viral gene therapies is limited by vector toxicity, immunogenicity and the inability to package full-length dystrophin.

Subarray programmable terahertz metasurface for optical logic and high-order amplitude modulation
Abstract Integrated terahertz (THz) communication-sensing-computing systems require reconfigurable platforms that can simultaneously support logic operations and signal modulation. Here, we propose a subarray programmable THz metasurface that elevates the subarray to the minimum addressable unit.
The Rising Tide of Allergic Rhinitis in China: Driving Innovation Forward
Lan, F., Akdis, C.A. and Zhang, L. (2026), The Rising Tide of Allergic Rhinitis in China: Driving Innovation Forward. Allergy. https://doi.org/10.1111/all.70330 Allergic rhinitis (AR) was first documented in traditional Chinese medicine in the “Yueling” chapter of the Chinese classic Liji for over 3000 years ago [1]. By contrast, the recognition of AR in Western medicine is more recent, beginning with John Bostock's first detailed clinical description of “hay fever” or “summer catarrh” in 1819 [2].
Spatial–Temporal Mismatch between the Digital Economy and Public Services: Case Study of Counties in Shaanxi, China
This website uses cookies to ensure you get the best experience on our website. Learn more Skip to main content Practical Applications The rapid growth of the digital economy has transformed public services, yet significant spatial–temporal mismatches persist, particularly in underdeveloped counties. This study focuses on counties in Shaanxi Province, China, to analyze the distribution and misalignment of digital economy and public service facilities.
An anti-TSLP monoclonal antibody for uncontrolled CRSwNP: the DUBHE randomized clinical trial - Nature Communications
Abstract To explore the therapeutic potential of blocking thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), we conducted a phase 1b/2a, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial to assess the safety and efficacy of CM326, a monoclonal antibody against TSLP. We enrolled 84 eligible patients with uncontrolled CRSwNP and stratified them based on baseline tissue eosinophil count.
TLR4+group 2 innate lymphoid cells contribute to persistent type 2 immunity in airway diseases - Nature Communications
Abstract Group 2 innate lymphoid cells (ILC2s) directly contribute to local inflammation in type 2 inflammatory airway diseases. Here, we identify ILC2 subsets by single cell RNA sequencing in chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) and in a memory inflammatory mouse model.
The impact and moderating mechanisms of digital inclusive finance on public services in Chinese counties - Scientific Reports
Abstract This article selects data from 1445 counties across three regions of China (Eastern, Central, and Western) between 2008 and 2022. It constructs evaluation index systems for the quality of livelihood and infrastructure public services and uses the entropy weight method to measure and analyze the spatiotemporal evolution characteristics of these two types of public services.
A Dual‐Programmable Metasurface with Duplex Beam Steering for Full‐Space Terahertz Communications
1 Introduction Due to the distinct gap between microwave and infrared bands, terahertz (THz) waves (0.1–10 THz) possess vast spectrum resources and narrow beam widths, offering exceptional capabilities for ultra-high-speed transmissions and high-resolution detections.[1-4] Specifically, future wireless networks are transitioning toward innovative paradigms, such as dense multi-node connectivity, collaborative networking, and integrated sensing and communications.[5-7] Meanwhile, highly...
Management of Patients With Allergic Diseases in the Era of Biologics
Biologics are increasingly becoming the treatment of choice for allergic diseases that are unresponsive to standard treatments, such as chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP), asthma, allergic rhinitis (AR), atopic dermatitis (AD), and prurigo nodularis [1-3]. Key biologics targeting type 2 (T2) inflammation include dupilumab and stapokibart, both of which block interleukin 4 receptor alpha (IL-4Rα) at distinct binding epitopes.

The influencing factors and regional heterogeneity of county-level public services quality in China
ABSTRACT Enhancing the equity of public services is a strategic objective for China's socio-economic development during the 14th Five-Year Plan. However, existing research primarily focuses on urban areas, neglecting peripheral regions like counties. This article aims to address this research gap by exploring the development level and influencing factors of public services in county areas.
GZMK-expressing CD8+ T cells promote recurrent airway inflammatory diseases - Nature
Abstract Inflammatory diseases are often chronic and recurrent, and current treatments do not typically remove underlying disease drivers1. T cells participate in a wide range of inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis2, Crohn’s disease3, oesophagitis4 and multiple sclerosis5,6, and clonally expanded antigen-specific T cells may contribute to disease chronicity and recurrence, in part by forming persistent pathogenic memory.
Treating myocardial infarction via a nano-ultrasonic contrast agent-mediated high-efficiency drug delivery system targeting macrophages
Research Article APPLIED SCIENCES AND ENGINEERING INTRODUCTION Ischemic heart disease remains a leading cause of mortality and disability worldwide, affecting approximately 126 million people globally (1, 2). Myocardial infarction (MI) is the most severe form of ischemic heart disease (3). Now, adverse ventricular remodeling and heart failure following MI continue to be the primary contributors to patient mortality (4).
AS160 is a lipid-responsive regulator of cardiac Ca2+ homeostasis by controlling lysophosphatidylinositol metabolism and signaling - Nature Communications
Abstract The obese heart undergoes metabolic remodeling and exhibits impaired calcium (Ca2+) homeostasis, which are two critical assaults leading to cardiac dysfunction. The molecular mechanisms underlying these alterations in obese heart are not well understood. Here, we show that the Rab-GTPase activating protein AS160 is a lipid-responsive regulator of Ca2+ homeostasis through governing lysophosphatidylinositol metabolism and signaling.

The Impact of Livelihood Capital Endowment on Household Poverty Alleviation: The Mediating Effect of Land Transfer
Abstract : (1) Background: Poverty eradication is the common goal and challenge of human development. Livelihood capital is the basis for poor families to escape poverty and is also the key to enhancing the ability for sustainable development. (2) Methods: Using data from the 2018 China Family Panel Studies (CFPS), this paper empirically examines the impact of livelihood capital on poverty alleviation. In addition, the mediating effect of land transfer is explored.
