Another piece of Charleston history might soon be on its way for a change. The historic Woodrums’ Building, on the northeast corner of Laidley Street and Virginia Street East, is set for auction next week. It’s a step that building owners William and Debra Board say they didn’t want to take but are being forced to. “The bank would not help us,” said Debra Board, director of accounts of The Historic Woodrums’ Building real estate company, which owns the building.
