Chinese AI lab Moonshot reportedly has a compute capacity agreement with Alibaba Cloud to the tune of 20,000 Nvidia GPUs. As reported by Bloomberg and citing people familiar with both companies' operations, the Nvidia GPUs make up a large proportion of Moonshot's total compute capacity used for the training and running of the Kimi models. Moonshot and Nvidia declined to comment to Bloomberg.

CoreWeave plans to launch 360MW of data center capacity in Indonesia

CoreWeave is expanding into Indonesia with plans for three data centers in the country. The data centers will be the company's first in the Asia Pacific region and are targeting a 2028 launch date. In total, the data centers will offer 360MW of IT power, and CoreWeave will own and operate the compute environment across all three locations. The company will train a local on-the-ground team to operate the facilities.

As reported by Latitude Media, the company plans to utilize excess energy capacity at commercial office buildings in major US cities, deploying GPU compute at the locations. The company is a portfolio business of Montauk Capital and is led by former Lambda executive David Hall.
