Since relocating to the Bay Area to become a Golden Bear, he’s had gigs with outlets as diverse as the San Francisco Examiner, The Bold Italic, Sports Illustrated, and Golden State Warriors radio, lived above Mad Dog In The Fog in Lower Haight (where he totally cheated at Pub Quiz), and has enjoyed close to three dozen boots of Franziskaner at Suppenkuche (not all at once). Cameron's Pub is the most polarizing restaurant in the Bay Area. Not anecdotally. Not politically. It quite literally has almost the same number of 5-star and 1-star reviews on Yelp. For every, "Holy crap this place was amazing," there's also a, "One word: Terrible." "I don't even like to look at them anymore," admits owner Cameron Palmer, who looks genuinely sad when I bring them up.
