Mountain Home Air Force Base to host Qatari training site

Mountain Home Air Force Base will be home to a new Qatari air force facility, according to an announcement from Department of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on Friday. The announcement was made at the Pentagon alongside Qatar’s Minister of Defense, Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani. Fox News posted a video of the announcement here. Viking-themed Boise brewery to close both taprooms

A local brewery is saying goodbye to Boise. In an email to customers, Mad Swede Brewing Company announced that its Cole Rd. taproom and production facility in South Boise will permanently close next week. The downtown Boise taproom will close at the end of the year. The email cited “a tough run ever since the pandemic” as the reason for the closure.
