Abstract Negative effects during withdrawal heighten vulnerability to relapse in clinical settings. However, preclinical evidence linking withdrawal-induced negative emotions to relapse vulnerability remains limited. Previously, we have demonstrated that kappa opioid receptor (KORs) activation in the amygdala and subsequent inhibition of the amygdala-to-nucleus accumbens circuit mediate morphine withdrawal-induced depressive-like behaviors.

Main text (Neuron 113, ◼◼◼e1–e6; December 3, 2025) We, the authors, have detected two errors in our published article. Figure 2C contains a typographical error; the green square should be labeled as “Center” and not “Closed arm.” In Figure S8H, the representative image of the sham group was inadvertently duplicated for the SNI group. We have assessed the impact of the errors and believe that the correction does not alter the main findings and conclusions of our study.
