Six former staffers at Blake Lively’s defunct lifestyle company, Preserve, are breaking their silence on the alleged “toxic, “unprofessional” and “chaotic” workplace they experienced. “The entire company was an absolute disaster,” one staffer claimed to the Daily Mail in a bombshell exposé published Monday.
Mariska Hargitay Was “Living a Lie” for 30 Years. Now She’s Embracing Her Mother, Jayne Mansfield-and Her Biological Father
Three-year-old Mariska Hargitay was asleep in the back seat of a car when it rammed into a truck. The toddler survived, her limp little body lodged underneath the passenger seat. But her mother, Hollywood star Jayne Mansfield, died instantly. “I don’t remember the accident. She is sitting in her New York City apartment, staring into the black hole where her early memories should be.

How Classic Became The New Cool
Is it 2017 or 1971? If you look at the fashion on some of the more influential designers’ catwalks of late – from Gucci and Prada to Dries Van Noten and Calvin Klein – you could be forgiven for asking the question. This season is heavy on heritage fabrics, and distinctly 1970s in colour palette and texture. It all feels suitably autumnal.

A Fresh Coat For Autumn
We don’t listen. Instead, we layer up and gird ourselves against the cold. We go outside because we know that life is too short, and winter too long, to do anything else. Free from summer’s oppressive humidity, we rediscover the joy of crisp mornings, turning leaves and breath hanging in the air. We reacquaint ourselves with the ritual of getting dressed. Properly dressed. And we get to know our coats again.

In that regard, it’s high time we rethink — or at least expand — how we think of “cool” when it comes to our female stars. Hathaway has never cultivated the kind of calculated laissez-faire attitude often celebrated in young actresses of today. She’s not the sort of woman who boasts to red-carpet reporters that she ate three cheeseburgers on the way over. She’s the sort who is poised and polite, articulate and eager.
