FAM50A promotes esophageal squamous cell carcinoma progression via splicing-dependent oncogenic circSDK1- and DUSP22-mediated MAPK/FAK activation
Abstract Dysregulated splicing factors play critical roles in tumor progression. Here, we identify family with sequence similarity 50 member A (FAM50A) as a pivotal oncogenic splicing factor involved in esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Multi-omics and multi-cohort analyses revealed that FAM50A is upregulated in ESCC and correlates with a poor prognosis.

Topology-Inverted Mapping: From Optical-Energy Flow to Inverse-Faraday Magnetization
1 Introduction Structured optical fields [1] provide a versatile platform for generating complex vector topologies through the interplay of spin, orbital angular momentum (OAM) [2, 3], and nonparaxial focusing [4]. Recent studies have revealed a variety of optical topological structures, including optical skyrmions [5, 6], polarization singularities [4], spin textures [7], and energy-flow vortices [8-10].
[2609.24153] Quantifying Long-Range Dependence in Object-Valued Time Series
Object-valued time series, including distributions, covariance matrices, networks, and compositions, lack the linear structure required by conventional autocovariance-based definitions of long memory. We develop an intrinsic framework for defining and estimating long memory in metric spaces of negative type.
Computer Science > Computation and Language
Reasoning-oriented large language models often achieve strong problem-solving performance by generating long chains of thought, but this behavior substantially increases inference cost and latency. In contrast, instruction-tuned models tend to answer more concisely, yet often lack comparable reasoning ability. This accuracy-efficiency mismatch motivates a lightweight approach that combines the strengths of both models without full model retraining.
Spatiotemporal control of inverse-Faraday magnetization topology
Dynamic topologies of inverse-Faraday magnetization remain largely unexplored. Here, we establish a deterministic strategy for the spatiotemporal control of nonequilibrium inverse-Faraday magnetization topology through temporally modulated dual-vortex vector fields under high-numerical-aperture focusing. Phase beating drives coherent topology rotation, whereas amplitude modulation induces reversible topology breathing.
Symmetry-aware graph optimization for scalable multisource remote-sensing data-fusion networks
Abstract The multisource remote-sensing fusion can be used to complement LiDAR, Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and UAV imaging to enhance the spatial analysis. But it is a problem that for large multimodal datasets it is not cost effective to represent this data as a spatial-feature graph for fusion and distributed processing. In this work, a symmetry-aware graph optimization framework is proposed to eliminate redundant computation in the multisource remote-sensing data-fusion workflow.
Single-pulse lithography of amorphous photonic architectures inside all-inorganic dielectric crystals
Abstract High-efficiency light modulation within transparent substrates is critically important for advancing in-chip integrated optical technologies. However, current micro/nanophotonic platforms primarily rely on 2D surface configurations, rendering them inadequate for 3D optical design in dielectric environments.
In situ coagulation environment regulation-assisted thrombus clearance via hydrogenated silicon-based nanothrombolytics
Abstract Thrombotic disorders remain among the leading causes of global mortality, yet current thrombolytic therapies are limited by poor targeting specificity and inadequate microenvironmental modulation, resulting in suboptimal efficacy and serious side effects. Here, we developed a hydrogen-generating nanothrombolytic agent that enables enzymatic clot dissolution in combination with intelligent microenvironment reprogramming.
