FORT ATKINSON — When the staff at Rock River Dental in Fort Atkinson gathered recently for a routine meeting, Dr. Leslie Showalter suggested they play a game, and video it for TikTok. The lighthearted competition, to see who could shake the sticky notes off their body the fastest, was ultimately won by Dr. Brandon Trimbell, the practice's co-owner. The video didn’t just bring laughs to the office; it has since been viewed more than 2 million times across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook.

'Pop-up at the Pasture.' October vendor fair will support Lake Mills family

JEFFERSON — This fall, a Jefferson County farm will become a hub of community spirit as Pop-up at the Pasture aims to bring together dozens of local vendors for a cause. The event, set for Oct. 18 at Heiman’s Highland Hills, N5442 Harvey Road, Jefferson, will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and feature crafters, local businesses, food, and entertainment, all while raising funds for the Homann family of Lake Mills.

JEFFERSON — Summer events are winding down in Jefferson, but the final weeks of August still offer some great family-friendly fun. “We encourage families to come downtown,” for concerts, a movie, and street-side gatherings, said Laurie Strache, executive director of the Jefferson Area Chamber of Commerce. “This is a great way to shop local and support local businesses downtown,” Strache added.
