I am a producer at NPR.org and I primarily work on national news stories. I joined the Digital News staff in 2007 after earning my master's degree in Interactive Journalism at American University.

What was your first job as a journalist?

I was my high school tennis team's manager, and I'd call in results to the local paper. To see that conversation in print gave me a buzz!

Have you ever used a typewriter?

I learned to type on an IBM Selectric in high school and frequently say it was the best class I've ever taken.

How is social media changing news?

The pace of news has become blinding fast.And it has become a new tool for journalists to find stories and sources.
