Iran’s regime killed my brother. I refuse to hate Muslims.
My younger brother, Hamraz, was arrested in Iran at 16. Two years later, the Islamic regime executed him. His death filled me with anger and a desire for revenge. But as I studied the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus challenged me to love my enemies and pray for those who persecute me. God transformed my hatred into love. Rather than seek revenge against Muslims, I devoted my life to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with them. Love your Muslim neighbors.

Iran isn't losing this war: 4 levers are beating America's strategy
By , Op-ed contributor Our foreign affairs with Iran have become nothing more than a predictable, unending cycle. Iran tests the Strait of Hormuz. American jets and warships answer with a night of precision strikes. Tehran absorbs the blow. And the world holds its breath until the cycle begins again. The ceasefire that was supposed to end this war has collapsed again. The nuclear question sits exactly where it stood before diplomats spent months negotiating a memorandum meant to close it.

These individuals were sentenced to 50 years in prison for Christian activities such as prayer, baptism, and distributing Bibles. This news comes as persecution of Christians in Iran has risen sixfold in 2025, and hundreds of Iranian Christians have been arrested in 2025 and sentenced to long prison terms.

Here is what you need to know about Ramadan
By , Op-ed contributor As the Islamic holiday of Ramadan began in the evening on Friday, February 28, 2025, I believe it is an opportunity for all Christians to join together in prayer to ask the One True God to move in the lives of Muslims during this time. I was born in Iran into a Muslim family. As a kid growing up in Iran, I did not perform my daily Islamic ritual prayers consistently. However, one thing I did consistently was fasting every year during the month of Ramadan.
Why do I, as an Iranian, celebrate Hanukkah?
By , Op-ed contributor For me, as an Iranian Christian coming from an Islamic background, Christmas and also Hanukkah have special and deep meanings. As over 2 million Muslim background Iranian Christians celebrate their salvation during Christmas, Hanukkah reminds them how the past and future of the two nations, Israel and Iran, are tied together. To understand this tie, let us first look at what Hanukkah is. It is a vibrant and joyous Jewish festival that beautifully coincides with Christmas.
Shariat: Iranian People Want Their Enemies to Intervene | Newsmax.com
Are the People of Iran 'Happy' About Israel’s Recent Attack? It's shocking to know that the Iranian people are happy about and approved of Israel’s Saturday morning retaliation against Iran. In fact, they've been asking U.S. and/or Israel to attack Iran for the last three years. It's unprecedented in history for a nation to ask its enemies for an attack, but knowing the situation in Iran, it makes perfect sense.
Why are Iranian people happy about Israel’s attack?
It is shocking to know that the Iranian people are happy about and approved of this attack. In many clips posted on social media platforms, you can see Iranians dancing with joy on their rooftops. Why? Because they hope that this is the beginning of the end for Iran’s Islamic regime that has abused them, oppressed them, and plundered national wealth for their own personal benefit and advancement of their political agenda in the region.

Bible prophecies on Israel, Iran, Lebanon give clues to outcome of multi-front war
OPINION: The recent attacks on the Holy Land have provided Israeli leaders the internal support to destroy their enemies, namely Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran. Israel said rockets from “deep inside Lebanese territory” exploded on a soccer field July 28 in a village in the Golan Heights, which killed 12 children and wounded 44. How I went from chanting ‘Death to America’ to ‘God Bless America’
NEWYou can now listen to Fox News articles! I was born in Iran, and as a young student I joined the masses of protesters in the streets of Tehran in 1979 shouting "Death to America." But I have grown to love America and what this blessed nation stands for. In 1982 I became a dual citizen and began studying at the University of Southern California. Over the past four decades,, my love for the U.S. has grown.

Iranian Christians haven't stopped fighting. Don't forget them
By , Op-ed contributor When we read stories of persecution against Christians in Iran — such as the recent harsh sentences against brothers and sisters like Yasin Mousavi, a Christian convert who was arrested and sentenced to 15 years in prison for his conversion from Islam — our immediate reaction is one of deep injustice. These believers are peaceful, loving individuals who strive to be a positive influence in society, praying even for their nation's leaders.
Iran President Raisi's death from End Times perspective: Accident or assassination?
OPINION: While U.S. and international media repeat the official line that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi died in a helicopter crash caused by “technical issues,” those with an ability to peek behind Iran’s totalitarian curtain are quietly asking an important question: Was this an accident or an assassination? Pentecost 2024: Iran Christian Church Dates Back to Pentecost
Memories are short, and important information can get lost over time. That collective memory fog and subsequent events can shape what future generations believe or think, and consequently how they act. Take Iran, for example. A series of events occurring in Iran back in 1979 profoundly reshaped the country’s landscape, namely the overthrow of the shah, the rise of the ayatollah, eruptive protests and the establishment of the Islamic Republic.

Iran-Israel War: How does that relate to prophecies in the Bible?
OPINION: Over the weekend, Iran’s attack on Israel was an incredible theatrical success. According to news reports, Iran attacked with 20 ballistic missiles, 170 drones and more than 30 cruise missiles with nearly all of them intercepted with little to no harm. Authorities reported a 7-year-old girl was critically injured and only one Israeli military facility took light damage. This attack was planned to minimize casualty and damage but maximize visual effects with news and media impact.
Bible prophecy: Iran is on the cusp of Christian transformation
OPINION: Recent reports of remarkably low voter turnout in Iran‘s tightly controlled elections indicate a profound yearning for change among the Iranian people. This unmistakable signal to the Islamic Government of Iran conveys not just a withdrawal of support, but a resolute rejection, with a clear desire for the government to fall. Shariat: Make No Mistake - Iran Kills Its Own
The recent bombing in Iran at a grave site commemoration for prominent Iranian general Qassem Soleimani where over 100 Iranians were killed is just another example of the Iranian government killing its own people to serve its own purposes.
What It Will Take to Transform Nations for Christ
As believers, we are called to live generous lives, resembling the character of our Father. God has been generous to us, and as His children, we must also be generous. We must freely give as we have freely received. I have learned this in my own life – how practicing generosity invites the movement of God, especially as we give sacrificially in response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
4 Ways to Effectively Use AI in Ministry
In the flow of news and even around the dinner table, advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) have become a frequent topic of discussion—even debate—as its prevalence in our day-to-day lives increases. For many Christians, conversations about its widespread presence involve concerns about how to use AI ethically and responsibly, while protecting biblical truth, values, and principles.
Shariat: Iranians Reject Islam In Spite of Gov't Persecution
OPINION Iranians Continue to Reject Islam in the Face of Persecution by the Government September marks the first anniversary of the death of Mahsa Amini, the 22-year-old woman who was severely beaten by Iranian morality police after violating the country’s strict dress code, requiring women to cover their hair with a hijab. Suffering head trauma, she died in a hospital in Tehran on Sept. 16, 2022, triggering widespread protests throughout Iran.
Vienna: A Harbinger of (Jihadist) Things to Come
When it comes to a complete change in attitude concerning Islam, few Western cities stand out as much as Vienna, Austria. Its past and present are like day and night to one another. Indeed, on this very day in history, in the year 1683, Vienna was on the verge of being captured by Islam, being relieved only in the final moment. That story is worth recounting — not least as it helps set the stage concerning where Vienna finds itself today vis-à-vis Islam.
A Tale of Two Irans
When the Islamic Republic of Iran assumed power in 1979, it embarked on a mission to spread its corrupt version of government far and wide to serve its anti-Western ideology. Sadly, in doing this, the new regime radically affected the lives of the Iranian people for generations to come. Formerly known as Persia, the nation of Iran is a paradox in the Middle East. The people who live there are mainly pro-Western, yet an anti-democratic system of government controls them.

How Iran is pioneering a new era of oppression
By Hormoz Shariat, Op-ed contributor | Sunday, May 21, 2023 In another attempt to rein in the increasing number of women defying Iran’s mandatory dress code, Iranian authorities have begun installing facial recognition cameras in public places and thoroughfares to identify and penalize unveiled women. It’s a major setback for activists following months of protests for women’s rights and regime change.
Agreeing on Lies: How the Democrats Do History
We all know the Left has turned this country into a house of lies. Singling out the worst of them is thus difficult. But how about these three? Men can get pregnant. Math is racist. Climate change will kill tens of millions this century. After such absurd meta mendacities, it’s hard to take the merely political ones seriously. Democrats’ Old Lies Are New Again Like the slimy seven in Joe Biden’s reelection commercial last week.
Op-Ed: The 'Billy Graham of Iran' Says the Islamist Theocracy May Soon Fall
Amid ongoing conflict both at home and beyond, Iran recently marked the 44th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution. It was in 1979 that the Middle Eastern country astonished the world by introducing Islam as a form of governance that would go on to support militant allies and challenge international norms.
Are the Majority of Iranians Fed Up with Islam?
As you watch the news, it's common and easy to develop the belief that we're at war with Iran and they hate us. The truth is, Iranians love America. Are you shocked? It's true. Iranians love American culture, music and movies. They envy our democracy and respect our nation's flag—probably more than some Americans do. The hate-filled sentiments toward America are spewed from Iran's government, not its citizens. Most Iranians are fed up with Islam.
Iran Transformed: An interview with Hormoz Shariat
| May 18, 2021 | no comments PneumaReview.com: You were a Muslim who became a Christian. Please tell our readers how you came to the Lord. Dr. Hormoz Shariat: I was a Ph.D. student at the University of Southern California (USA) when I came to Christ by comparing Quran and the Bible. I realized that both could not be true. After that, I went to a church in downtown Los Angeles. That is when I heard the Gospel and responded to it.
5 Things You Didn’t Know about Iran " Hormoz Shariat
An empty mosque taken during a call to prayer A friend of mine, who was in Iran recently, confirmed what Persians around the world already knew. During his trip, he visited more than a dozen mosques in several cities over the course of 10 days. Some of these visits were on one of two Fridays, which is the holy day of Shi’a Islam, when you would expect to find the most people in the mosques. It is equivalent to Sunday mornings in America.
