Full-link stray light evaluation method for an optical baffling system under a neutral salt spray test
To ensure stable performance of black coatings in a salt spray environment and reliable life-cycle operation of marine optical systems, this paper proposes a full-link stray light evaluation method combining a neutral salt spray test, coating’s surface characterization, stray light simulation, and measurement. The mechanism of degraded coating’s scattering properties on the stray light suppression of the baffle under salt spray conditions is revealed.
SARS-CoV-2 ORF3a blocks lysosomal cholesterol egress by disrupting VPS39-regulated NPC2 trafficking and BMP metabolism
Keywords cellular cholesterol transport HOPS retromer bis(monoacylglycero)phosphates BMPs lysosome-mitochondrion interactions Research topic(s) CP: microbiology CP: cell biology Introduction Cholesterol plays a vital role in maintaining cellular structure and functions. Thus, cells tightly regulate cholesterol levels and distribution through multiple pathways. Cholesterol pathways are not only disturbed in metabolic disorders but also hijacked in infectious diseases.
Rare SRY-negative 46,XX disorder of sex development with male phenotype and ectopic gonads: a case report
Abstract Individuals who exhibit male external genitalia and testicular tissue despite a 46,XX karyotype with SRY-Negative represent an exceptionally rare phenotype of disorders of sex development (DSD), and the underlying mechanism remains poorly understood. We report an 18-year-old patient with a 46,XX karyotype and a male phenotype who presented with a 2-year history of left scrotal pain. Physical examination demonstrated male-type external genitalia.
Selenium–cadmium antagonism alleviates cadmium toxicity and improves the nutritional quality of Dictyophora rubrovolvata in cadmium-contaminated yellow soil
Abstract Selenium (Se) can improve the resistance of crops to environmental stress and alleviate the toxic effects of cadmium (Cd) on crops. This study investigated the effects of exogenous Se (Na2SeO3, 0–11 mg L-1) on the growth, nutrient quality, Se–Cd accumulation, translocation, and food safety of Dictyophora rubrovolvata (DR) in Cd-contaminated soil, with the aim of providing scientific evidence for Cd stress mitigation and the safe cultivation of DR.
Corporate carbon risk and stock price fragility
Abstract Despite extensive documentation of carbon risk’s influence on financial markets, its impact on stock price fragility (SPF) remains unclear. We utilize the signing of the Paris Agreement (PA) as a quasi-natural experiment to investigate the impact of carbon risk on SPF. Our findings indicate that following the signing of the PA, the price fragility of stocks with high carbon risk significantly increases; specifically, the rise in carbon risk substantially amplifies SPF.
SIRT1 regulates glycolysis and angiogenesis of ovarian cancer through β-catenin/c-Myc/PKM2, and its mechanism in chemotherapy resistance
Abstract Background: The purpose of this study is to explore the molecular mechanism of SIRT1 regulating chemotherapy resistance. Methods: Expression level of SIRT1 in ovarian cancer cell lines SKOV3, SKOV3/DDP (cisplatin-resistant cell line) and normal ovarian epithelial cell line IOSE80 was detected. Through the intervention of β-catenin agonist BML-284, the mechanism of SIRT1 regulating glycolysis and angiogenesis through β-catenin/c-myc/PKM2 pathway was discussed.

Study on Enhancing the 4-K Thermal Conductivity of Epoxy Composite
Abstract The thermal conductivity of epoxy resin decreases sharply to approximately 0.01 W·m−1·K−1 at 4 K, significantly limiting its application in nuclear fusion engineering. To address this limitation, this study prepared epoxy composite reinforced with silver, diamond, or wollastonite at 50 vol % and 70 vol %, and systematically investigated their 4-K thermal conductivity.

Enhanced scar mitigation via hyperbaric oxygen therapy and immune modulation using nanoparticle-orchestrated photosynthetic chlorella in polysaccharide hydrogels
Fibroproliferative scars are abnormal and aberrant skin restoration after exposure to skin trauma, typically appearing as persistent, rubbery nodules that extend beyond the original injury site [1], [2]. Fibroproliferative scars are characterized by excessive collagen deposition, hypoxia, and M2 macrophage predominant in the late stage of scar formation [3], [4], resulting in significant impairment in function and aesthetics.
