Interview
How is social media changing news?
It has allowed for breaking news to be disseminated in real time, which is amazing, but means that public media literacy is more crucial.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I used Google Suite for the bulk of planning and writing and Adobe Premiere Pro for the A/V work. I was also trained in Photoshop.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I didn't work on the newspaper, but I did interviews, editing and videography for my high school TV, primarily for event and staff features!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I wrote an ops article about anti-trans legislation, a culmination of research and learning about processes I find important to understand.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
I'm normally still working, but the chance to physically write down thoughts or read a book outside whenever possible allows for a reprieve.
