Right now in Central Ohio we're experiencing a significant affordable housing shortage, and homelessness has grown over 20% in a year. COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Advocates said it's become a crisis here in Franklin County: a growing problem among families, and especially veterans. We spoke with a veteran who told us his "rock bottom" was 6 months of living out on the streets. He said it's something he never imagined would ever happen to him; but now he finally found permanent and affordable housing.

Safehouse for domestic violence survivors destroyed by vandals Original

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A place meant to be safe and secure was ripped apart by vandals. A Hilltop safe and sober house was destroyed by squatters and thieves in early October. At one point there were 15 people living in that 3-bedroom home. The non-profit group that helps sex trafficking survivors, 1DivineLine2Health, is in the process of cleaning up the property.
