The casting of Black actor Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy in Christopher Nolan’s forthcoming The Odyssey has produced (as one might have anticipated) some backlash, with Elon Musk announcing on X that Nolan has ‘desecrated Homer’ and will ‘never live it down’.
