(Atlanta News First) — Beth Elliott hasn’t given up on searching for her son who went missing four years ago in Carroll County. “He was my best friend in addition to my son,” she said. “Everybody loved him.” Christopher Tarr, 33, was last seen in a rural area of Temple on June 22, 2022. Elliott describes him as a funny and sweet man, who wouldn’t go long without speaking to her. “People don’t just disappear like that,” she said.

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — There were many Juneteenth celebrations across Metro Atlanta on Friday as people marked freedom and the independence of those who had been enslaved. At Paschal’s Restaurant and Bar in Atlanta, about 20 Black-owned businesses set up for a Juneteenth celebration. Michey’s Italian Ice was one of the vendors showcasing their products. “Juneteenth really means freedom for our community, unity for our community,” said Shanna with Michey’s Italian Ice.
