Hoffman, a native of Santa Cruz, Calif., won the men’s title in 4 hours, 2 minutes and 10 seconds, a little over 9 minutes faster than the next finisher. “It was my first time here, and it was fantastic,” Hoffman said. “The crowd support was awesome and unreal, which matters a lot.
