GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn. — If you had told John Nelson a year ago that surviving a plane crash would only be the beginning of his struggles, he likely wouldn’t have believed you. Today, he says there isn’t a day that goes by that he doesn’t think about it. “Sleep has been really elusive the last couple of months,” he said. Nelson was a passenger on Delta Flight 4819 flying out of Minneapolis, as it attempted to land at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Feb. 17, 2025.
