Largo's Heritage Village celebrates 50 years

LARGO, Fla. - Heritage Village is celebrating 50 years of preserving history and introducing people to the way this area used to be. When you visit, you can tour the homes of the first settlers of Pinellas County. Heritage Village is a 21-acre living history museum with 30 different historic structures and nearly 20,000 pieces of archives. You can walk inside a house built by Wesley Lowe, a farmer who did a lot of citrus growing and cattle raising.

Horizon West Bay, new Largo City Hall set to open soon

LARGO, Fla. - The opening of the new Largo City Hall is just days away and Tampa Bay 28 got an inside look at the new development, Horizon West Bay. This new headquarters for everything city-related is 88,000 square feet. Another 18,000 square feet will be dedicated to retail space. "This is the symbol of the kind of the revitalization of Largo for us, we're growing a downtown from the ground up.

Largo Golf Course now features 'FlingGolf'

LARGO, Fla. - You can find a new sport at the Largo Golf Course called "FlingGolf." You can still play traditional golf at the course, and foot golf, too, but the staff here is continuing to explore new and different options. Fling Golf mixes Lacrosse and Jai-Alai. Using only one stick, you fling the ball towards the hole and use the same stick to putt, too. "What we're trying to do here at the Largo course is open up the sport of golf to all ages, all abilities. So there's lots of barriers to golf.
