The Supreme Court has six Catholic judges and one former Catholic, some of whom have spoken about the importance of religion in the United States in ways that feel unseemly for a justice at best and, at worst, diametrically opposed to the separation of church and state enshrined in the Constitution.

For more than a year, a Hell’s Kitchen resident has been dealing with people standing outside her building talking, drinking, fighting and worse. The problem, she says, is a no-longer-in-use US Postal Service relay box on W52nd Street, between 9th and 10th Avenues, that has become a gathering spot for people on the street.
