TOWN OF WEST BEND, Wis. — A man died Wednesday after being pinned under a pile of a lumber at a construction site, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to a 911 call from the 3400 block of Highway NN at around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. The caller said the man was trapped under the lumber at a new home construction site. They weren't sure of the victim's condition, and were working with contractors to move the lumber.

State of Emergency declared in New Berlin following historic rains, flash flooding

Mayor David Ament has declared a state of emergency in the City of New Berlin following historic rainfall and flash flooding over the weekend. READ ALSO: How do states of emergency work? In the declaration, Ament noted New Berlin received more than 11 inches of rainfall in certain areas. He said declaring a state of emergency would help "expedite the use of resources" for those impacted.

Howard County officials investigate death of teen found in private pond

RUSSIAVILLE — The Howard County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a 16-year-old male found in a private pond near 300 S. & 500 W in Russiaville. According to police, at approximately 9:34 a.m. on Jan. 26, a 911 call was made by the teen's mother after she discovered her son unconscious and unresponsive. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, with the first unit arriving within four minutes.
