Rams Rise to the Occasion to Capture Third Place at Conference Championships

The Rams’ Swim Team took third-place honors at the 2026 Swimming Coast Conference Championships, staying the course on what has been a solid slate of meets for City College. This season’s third-place finish marked the ninth time the swim program has placed in the top three at conference championships over its 15-season history (excluding the canceled 2020 season and COVID-shortened 2021 season). The team shared many highlights throughout the weekend.

I wanted to know how City College students should approach AI usage in their education. To learn more, I spoke to Anna Mills, a writing instructor at City College and advocate for critical AI literacy. Mills has researched and written extensively about AI’s integration into education.

The Castro Bar Where Women’s Sports Takes Center Court

Passing the giant rainbow pride flag on the city’s main thoroughfare, a few blocks later — near bars such as Hi Tops and Blackbird, stands Rikki’s — San Francisco's only women's sports bar. It all started a few years ago when Sara Yergovich and Danielle Thoe were playing soccer with the San Francisco Spikes, a queer soccer club in San Francisco. Yergovich said that she overheard Thoe sharing her idea about a women's sports bar in the city.
