I've been a games critic and writer since 1999. I started writing for PC Gamer, there for 12 or so years, alongside a lot of the Future gaming mags. That and Eurogamer for a good few years, too.

In 2007 I co-created Rock Paper Shotgun, the PC gaming site, and co-ran that until 2017, when we sold it for delicious money.

Fumito Ueda, the creator of Ico, Shadow of the Colossus, and The Last Guardian, returned to Summer Game Fest with his previously-hinted-at Project Robot, now renamed Gen Atlas. And the brief showing of in-game footage looks as beautiful as you’d hope, as we fly around what appear to be the ruined remains of a vast robot.

Anthony Stewart Head, Star Of Buffy The Vampire Slayer , Has Died Age 72

Anthony Head, best known as Giles in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series, has died at age 72. The actor, who began performing in 1978, was more recently seen as a regular in Bill Lawrence’s soccer comedy Ted Lasso, and last appeared in 2024’s Amazon Prime movie Upgraded.
