(WECT) - Straight No Chaser marks a pair of milestones in 2026: 30 years since the acapella group formed at Indiana University, and 20 years since a YouTube video of their 12 Days of Christmas performance went viral and changed everything. The group will perform at the Wilson Center in downtown Wilmington on July 11. Steve Morgan, one of the group’s founding members, said the trajectory from college singers to international touring act still feels surreal.

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) - UNC Wilmington has released the lineup for this year’s Live Oak Bank Holiday Classic, a round-robin men’s basketball tournament set for Trask Coliseum over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. The Seahawks will host perennial Ivy League contender Princeton, defending Conference USA champion Liberty and St. Thomas of Minnesota. UNCW Athletic Director Mike Oblinger said the field represents the strongest since the tournament started three years ago.
