HELENA — One of Montana’s top utility regulators is currently suspended from office, but he’s asking a state judge to block that suspension before Gov. Greg Gianforte can choose a temporary replacement. Attorneys representing Public Service Commissioner Brad Molnar, Gianforte and other members of the Public Service Commission made arguments Friday morning in front of District Judge Mike Menahan in Helena.

GREAT FALLS — Over the last few weeks, most of the attention in Montana’s U.S. Senate race was focused on whether Democratic candidate Alani Bankhead and independent candidate Seth Bodnar would both remain on the ballot. Republican nominee Kurt Alme told MTN that question hadn’t affected the way he’s approached the campaign. “We've been out there focusing on our race and focusing on the issues that are important to Montana,” he said.

HELENA — For more than a year, a state commission has been looking into a big question: whether Montana is providing adequate funding for public education. Now, they’re putting the finishing touches on their final report. “I think that what we have come up with once again is a good starting point – better than a starting point, it's provided the foundation for a more thorough analysis,” Rep. David Bedey, R-Hamilton, told MTN. Bedey is the chair of the School Funding Interim Commission.
