KANSAS CITY — Richard B. Cook, who spent 35 years at Hostess Brands and its predecessor company Interstate Bakeries as a labor relations executive, died June 23 at the age of 82. A native of Chicago, Cook lived the final 45 years of his life in Kansas City. He graduated from Marquette University, Milwaukee, with a bachelor’s degree in economics and from Loyola University in Chicago with a master’s degree in human resources and labor relations.
