Interpretable multi-modal hierarchical framework to support cytomorphological analysis of hematologic cancers
Abstract Cytomorphological analysis of bone marrow aspirate (BMA) and peripheral blood smears (PBS) remains a diagnostic cornerstone in hematology. Machine-assisted analysis could support diagnostic workflows, but remains challenging due to the imbalanced prevalence of hematologic malignancies and cytomorphological diversity shaped by biological and therapeutic factors.
Comparative transcriptome analysis unravels genotype-specific defense strategies in anthracnose-resistant and susceptible litchi cultivars
Abstract Anthracnose disease, caused by Colletotrichum species, poses a significant threat to global litchi production, yet the molecular mechanisms governing host resistance remain poorly understood. To dissect the genetic basis of anthracnose resistance, we employed a comparative transcriptomic approach using two contrasting cultivars: ‘YuJinQiu’ (DR, disease-resistant genotype) and ‘BaiTangYing’ (DS, disease-susceptible genotype).
Association between maternal preeclampsia and the risk of neonatal sepsis: a systematic review and meta-analysis
Abstract Background: Background: Preeclampsia is a common hypertensive disorder of pregnancy associated with adverse maternal and neonatal outcomes, while neonatal sepsis remains a leading cause of neonatal morbidity and mortality worldwide. However, the association between maternal preeclampsia and neonatal sepsis remains uncertain, with inconsistent findings across studies. We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate this relationship.
Knockdown of TOP2A reverses cisplatin resistance in ovarian cancer by inhibiting EMT via ferroptosis mediated by the TP53/GPX4/SLC7A11 axis
Introduction Ovarian cancer(OC) is the most lethal gynecological malignancy, with approximately 70% of patients being diagnosed at advanced stages (1). According to epidemiological predictions for 2025, the global burden of OC remains substantial, with approximately 20,890 new cases and 12,730 deaths projected in the United States alone (2). Cisplatin, a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent approved by the U.S.Food and Drug Administration(FDA),is widely used in the treatment of OC (3).

Comparison of the Effects of Adipose Extracellular Matrix/Stromal Vascular Fraction Gel Injection and CO2 Fractional Laser on Atrophic Acne Scar in Asians Through a 24‐Week Prospective, Randomized, Split‐Face Study
1 Introduction Acne vulgaris is a prevalent skin disease affecting adolescents and young adults. The facial region is mostly affected, with many individuals developing different degrees of atrophic acne scars. The presence of a permanent acne scar has been identified as a potential risk factor contributing to negative self-perception, unemployment, and psychological distress [1]. Atrophic acne scar is caused by the loss of collagen and destruction of pilosebaceous units in the dermis.

Synthesizing biomaterials in living organisms
Synthesizing biomaterials in living organisms Living organisms fabricate biomacromolecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins by the self-assembly process. The research on the mechanism of biomacromolecule formation also inspires the exploration of in vivo synthesized biomaterials. By elaborate design, artificial building blocks or precursors can self-assemble or polymerize into functional biomaterials within living organisms.
Foods | Free Full-Text | Characterization of Nano-SiO2/Zein Film Prepared Using Ultrasonic Treatment and the Ability of the Prepared Film to Resist Different Storage Environments
3.1. Influence of Ultrasonic Treatment on Physico-Mechanical Properties of the Films 3.1.1. Single-Factor Optimization Focusing on the Mechanical Properties Mechanical properties such as TS and EBA play a significant role in the quality determination of the biodegradable. The TS and EBA of ultrasound-assisted nano-SiO2/zein film were determined. Effects of nano-SiO2 addition and ultrasound treatment on TS and EAB of films were investigated (Figure 1).
Design of Mitoxantrone‐Loaded Biomimetic Nanocarrier with Sequential Photothermal/Photodynamic/Chemotherapy Effect for Synergized Immunotherapy
Abstract Metastatic triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) has a poor prognosis and high mortality with no effective treatment options, and immunotherapy is highly anticipated as a potential treatment but is limited by the lack of tumor-infiltrating T lymphocytes in TNBC. Herein, red blood cell (RBC) membrane-camouflaged polyphosphoester (PPE) nanoparticles (RBC@PPEMTO/PFA) are prepared as the nanocarriers of mitoxantrone (MTO) and perfluoroalkane (PFA) for synergized immunotherapy.

PDLIM2 can inactivate the TGF‐β/Smad pathway to inhibit the malignant behavior of ovarian cancer cells
Abstract PDZ-LIM domain-containing Protein 2 (PDLIM2) has been reported to be downregulated in ovarian cancer. However, its exact function and mechanism in regulating ovarian cancer progression have not been elucidated. This work researched the exert effect and mechanism of PDLIM2 on ovarian cancer progression. Briefly, PDLIM2 expression in clinical tissues of ovarian cancer patients and cells was investigated by qRT-PCR and Western blot.

Prevalence of Pre-existing Antibodies to CRISPR-Associated Nuclease Cas9 in the USA Population
The repurposing of the CRISPR/Cas microbial adaptive immune system for gene editing has resulted in an exponential rise in new technologies and promising approaches for treating numerous human diseases. While some of the approaches being currently developed involve ex vivo editing by CRISPR/Cas9, many more potential applications will require in vivo editing. The in vivo use of this technology comes with challenges, one of which is the immune response to Cas9, a protein of microbial origin.
