ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — A celebration for Athens’ LGBTQ community and allies was disrupted by a group of men promoting hate. In videos obtained by Atlanta News First, the group can be heard using homophobic, antisemitic and racist language. The men, dressed in black with red shirts, reportedly carried a large swastika flag and marched through downtown Athens. “It feels very targeted, it feels very purposeful,” said Angelica Rivera, a University of Georgia senior.
