Bacteria-Mediated Targeted Delivery and Deep Tumor Penetration of a Pt(IV)-Drug Enables Synergistic Chemo-Immunotherapy
1 Introduction Platinum-based drugs constitute a cornerstone of modern cancer chemotherapy and are widely utilized clinically for the treatment of various cancers [1]. Conventional Pt(II) drugs, including cisplatin, carboplatin, and oxaliplatin, exert their therapeutic effects by forming intra- or inter-strand crosslinks within tumor cell nuclear DNA, thereby disrupting DNA replication and transcription and ultimately triggering tumor cell death [2-4].
Neural competition between prefrontal and auditory cortex constrains novel sound strategy learning

The role of serum biochemical markers in early prediction of complicated appendicitis: a single-center retrospective analysis
Abstract Studies systematically comparing multiple biochemical markers for differentiating uncomplicated appendicitis (UCA) from complicated appendicitis (CA) specifically in adult populations remain relatively limited. This study aims to identify biochemical markers associated with CA and to establish a predictive model. A retrospective analysis was conducted on the biochemical profiles of patients diagnosed with UCA and CA. Differences between the two groups were analyzed using SPSS.

Development of Probabilistic Fracture Mechanics Analysis Code for Chinese Reactor Pressure Vessel: PET‐CR
Probabilistic fracture mechanics (PFM), which integrates statistical analysis techniques with the conventional deterministic approach, has emerged as a promising methodology for assessing the structural integrity of reactor pressure vessels (RPVs).
Confinement‐Locking Strategy Enables Ionogels With Remarkable Mechanical Robustness and Fatigue Resistance
Ionogels with favorable mechanical robustness, high conductivity, and excellent resistance to tear and fatigue are crucial for portable energy devices and/or flexible electronics. However, the intrinsic plasticizing effect and network dilution caused by ionic liquids (IL) compromise their mechanical robustness. Herein, a confinement-locking strategy is developed to produce mechanically robust and fatigue-resistant phase-separate ionogels.
Extremely cold ocean temperatures in iron formation brine pools of snowball Earth
Abstract For the severe low-latitude “snowball Earth” glaciations, glacial deposits occurring on all continents is well-established. However, cold, salty, ice-covered oceans—a salient prediction of snowball Earth—is difficult to establish geologically.

Antibody-drug conjugates as immuno-oncology agents in colorectal cancer: targets, payloads, and therapeutic synergies
1 Introduction Colorectal cancer (CRC) remains a major global health burden, ranking as the third most frequently diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide (1), with over 1.9 million new cases and approximately 935,000 deaths reported in 2020 (2). While standard treatments, including chemotherapy and targeted agents, form the backbone of systemic therapy, their efficacy is often curtailed by tumor heterogeneity and acquired resistance (3).

Simulating 3D fabric drape models with diversity based on point cloud random resampling and blender
Abstract The drape variability, as one of the inherent characteristics of fabrics, is characterized by the fact that multiple repetitions of the same fabric sample under the same experimental conditions will yield different results. Nevertheless, existing fabric drape simulation studies do not yield diversified simulation results. It has been pointed out that this feature makes the drape models obtained from fabric simulation never accurately mimic the real fabric.

Temporal-Coherence Induces Binding in Responses to Sound Sequences in Ferret Auditory Cortex
Abstract Binding the attributes of a sensory source is necessary to perceive it as a unified entity, one that can be attended to and extracted from its surrounding scene. In auditory perception, this is the essence of the cocktail party problem in which a listener segregates one speaker from a mixture of voices, or a musical stream from simultaneous others. It is postulated that coherence of the temporal modulations of a source's features is necessary to bind them.

Sirtuin 3 is required for the dexmedetomidine‐mediated alleviation of inflammation and oxidative stress in nephritis
1 INTRODUCTION Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), an immune system-associated disorder, is characterized by the heterogeneity of its extensive clinical presentations.1 One of the most severe complications of SLE is lupus nephritis (LN), which is a leading prognostic predictor of poor outcomes in afflicted patients.2, 3 The most common symptoms of LN are tubulointerstitial inflammation and glomerular phlegmonosis, which are likely caused by the deposition of immune complexes in the kidneys.4,...
Negative Enthalpy Variation Drives Rapid Recovery in Thermoplastic Elastomer
The mechanism behind the resilience of polymeric materials, typically attributed to the well-established entropy elasticity, often ignores the contribution of enthalpy variation (ΔH), because it based on the assumption of an ideal chain. However, this model does not fully account for the reduced resilience of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) during long-range deformation, which is mainly caused by the dynamics of physical crosslink networks.
