"Nearly sixty of the nation's top parent, men's interest, student and fashion bloggers have joined with Windows to form the blogging masterminds who make up the Windows Champions. These bloggers were chosen to get a one-year, all-access pass to some of the hottest Windows PCs, Microsoft gear and news -- putting them at the forefront of technology trends."
I was given a grant to work at the offices of WCPO-TV and the corporate offices of of the E.W. Scripps Company. During my internship, I learned all about the role of the Web in a busy newsroom and many skills that I still use to this day.
I received this scholarship from the South Carolina Press Association Foundation. From the website: "The South Carolina Press Association Foundation encourages talented young people to enter the newspaper business and provides training and growth opportunities for working professionals."
I was the Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Gamecock during this time. With the help of my amazing staff, we were able to place first in this category, beating out all of the other daily newspapers in the state.
