What was your first job as a journalist?

I worked at WRDW-TV in Augusta, Ga. It was incredible to be able to cover the Masters Tournament as a live blogger.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

I love Rachel McAdams' character in "State of Play." Yay for bloggers!

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To advocate for the people around you and find out the information that your viewers/readers need to know.

What's your favorite social network?

Instagram. I love being able to admire photography and get news at the same time.

Who do you wish followed you?

Andy Cohen from Bravo. Love him.

Why did you become a journalist?

To find the truth and share it with the public.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Yes, I was the News Editor and a columnist. My column was named "How Do You Like Them Apples?" which is a play on my last name.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

The investigation I worked on with Lynnsey Gardner into the Augusta Youth Development Campus.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

If you don't understand something, ask enough questions until you do.
