Aug. 31—WORTHINGTON — Election season is just around the corner, and Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon wants to let everyone know about a few recent changes to state law designed to make voting simple and fast for everyone eligible to do it. "We have 14 months and change until the November 2024 election, and actually, the presidential primary in Minnesota is March 5. The absentee period for voting in that March 5 primary starts Jan. 19," Simon said.

Chancellor visits Minnesota West to talk $10 million renovation

Aug. 31—WORTHINGTON — Scott Olson, chancellor of Minnesota State system of colleges and universities, visited Worthington's Minnesota West Community and Technical College Tuesday for a tour and a chat about the college's upcoming renovation projects. Olson, who began as chancellor on Aug. 1 and previously served as president of Winona State University, spoke with officials from all of Minnesota West's various campuses and learning centers.
