What was your first job as a journalist?
My first paycheck from a news outlet came at age 9, when I won the Times Herald-Record (Middletown, NY) holiday writing contest.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
In 2nd grade, I insisted that my dad pull out his typewriter so I could type up an assignment and make it look "professional."
Why did you become a journalist?
Journalism takes me places I never dreamed I'd go, and then I get to relay and share those experiences.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not, nor did I work for the TV station. Back then, I was sure I was going to be a lawyer... who also played clarinet for the NY Phil.
