Fiat Koala: Elektrokleinwagen auf 2CV-Basis kommt 2028
Auf dem Pariser Autosalon gehörte die Bühne Citroën. Dort stand der neue 2CV als Studie: 3,76 Meter lang, in Serie rund eine Tonne schwer, bis 2028 angekündigt und für rund 15.000 Euro zu haben. Fiat hielt sich hingegen zurück, obwohl die Italiener ein Schwestermodell vorbereiten. „Wir arbeiten an einigen Autos auf Basis der E-Car-Plattform. Wir bereiten einen kleinen Wagen vor, der auf dem 2CV basiert, und er wird ein Wow“, sagte Arnaud Belloni dem britischen Magazin Autocar.

Das Prinzip ist einfach: Wer Produkte wie Batterien auf den Markt bringt, ist auch dafür verantwortlich, dass sie am Ende ihres Lebenszyklus ordnungsgemäß gesammelt und recycelt werden. Der Fonds verwaltet die dafür fälligen Recyclinggebühren gemäß dem isländischen Gesetz und verteilt sie weiter. Antriebsbatterien von Elektrofahrzeugen fallen ausdrücklich darunter. Der Bedarf wächst.
Solaris to deliver ten more trolleybuses to Saint-Étienne in 2027
Polish manufacturer Solaris has signed another contract with Saint-Étienne Métropole. The public transport authority in the Loire department has ordered ten articulated Trollino 18 trolleybuses through the Centrale d’Achat de Transport Public (CATP), a central procurement body for French public transport. The buses are scheduled for delivery at the end of 2027 and will operate alongside the existing Solaris vehicles already in service.

Der polnische Hersteller Solaris hat einen weiteren Auftrag aus Saint-Étienne unterschrieben. Die Métropole, der Gemeindeverbund rund um die Stadt im Département Loire, hat über die Centrale d’Achat de Transport Public (CATP), eine zentrale Einkaufsstelle für den französischen Nahverkehr, zehn Oberleitungsbusse (O-Busse) vom Typ Trollino 18 bestellt. Die Gelenkbusse sollen Ende 2027 geliefert werden und dann neben den bereits im Netz eingesetzten Solaris-Fahrzeugen fahren.
Göttinger Verkehrsbetriebe nehmen vier eCitaro-Gelenkbusse in Betrieb
Die Göttinger Verkehrsbetriebe (GöVB) erweitern ihre Elektrobusflotte. Seit Mitte Oktober sind vier zusätzliche Mercedes-Benz eCitaro in der Gelenkversion im Dienst. Sie werden überwiegend auf den Linien 71 und 72 eingesetzt. Damit verfügt die GöVB nun über 34 Elektrobusse, darunter 26 Gelenk- und acht Solobusse. Vor einem Monat waren es noch 30, nachdem Ende August bereits zwei eCitaro ausgeliefert worden waren.
Stellantis launches production of the Leapmotor B10 in Spain
The Leapmotor B10 is now being manufactured at the Figueruelas plant, where the Opel Corsa, Peugeot 208 and Lancia Ypsilon are already produced. For the official production launch, managers from both companies were joined by Jorge Azcón, President of the Aragon region, and Jordi García Brustenga, Spain’s Secretary of State for Industry, in Zaragoza. Stellantis justified the choice of location by citing the plant’s quality, industrial experience and available capacity.

BMW launches sixth-gen battery production in Shenyang
Nowhere is the price competition for EVs as fierce as in China – and it’s well-known that batteries are the most expensive component of an electric car. Manufacturing it close to the vehicle plant thus saves transport routes and inventory costs. This is exactly what BMW is now doing in Shenyang: “The high-voltage battery is a key component of our all-electric vehicles and one of the BMW Group’s most important technologies for the future,” said Production Board Member Dr. Raymond Wittmann.

MG IM6 first drive: 553 kW and air suspension for €62,990
The MG IM6 is the SUV counterpart to the MG IM5 saloon. Both models share the same modular platform, the same 100 kWh battery, the same drivetrains and the same operating concept. The difference is that the MG IM6 is the only one of the two to offer optional air suspension for an additional €2,000. We drove both models on the same roads in the French Jura on the same day, under identical weather conditions, switching directly between them.

First drive: Opel Corsa GSE delivers 207 kW for €39,900
Opel first announced the Corsa GSE in February, at the time still largely without concrete data. However, the car is now officially available to order from 1 September, with a starting price of €39,900. During our first test drive on public roads east of Vienna, and on the closed handling course of the Driving Camp, the Corsa GSE revealed more about itself than a data sheet ever could. On tight right-hand bends, early on the accelerator, the full 345 Nm of torque arrives with no delay.

Some facelifts require you to park two cars side by side in order to spot the differences. Others, however, conceal an entirely new vehicle beneath practically unchanged sheet metal. Sono Motors declares insolvency
On Monday, Sono Motors’ insolvency was announced with a brief statement in Munich. The company ceased operations on 31 July, and insolvency proceedings were officially opened. The statement revealed that the company had pursued talks with investors “intensively until the very end”, but a viable financing solution ultimately failed to materialise. All that remains is a notice of sale.
Alpine A390 GT review: electric crossover stays true to Alpine DNA
The Alpine A390 is the second model in the brand’s so-called Dream Garage. It slots between the smaller A290, based on the Renault 5, and the upcoming all-electric A110. In an interview with electrive, Alpine Germany chief Amaury Marzloff stressed that electric sports cars are central to the brand’s strategy. For him, sportiness is defined not by top speed or outright power, but by agility, precision and control. The A390 therefore has to deliver on those attributes.

Kia baut und verkauft den EV3 ab August auch in Mexiko
Der Start der Produktion von Elektroautos in Mexiko ist für Kia ein großer Schritt: Das entsprechende Investitionspaket wurde am Mittwoch im Nationalpalast bei der täglichen Pressekonferenz von Präsidentin Claudia Sheinbaum verkündet. Sie wurde dabei von Wirtschaftsminister Marcelo Ebrard und der Führungsriege von Kia México flankiert. Bisher wird der EV3 ausschließlich in Südkorea produziert. Damit wird Mexiko zum zweiten Produktionsstandort des Modells.
