CSF turnover dysfunction: a hidden early biomarker in iRBD?
Abstract Evidence in Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias shows that changes in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) turnover and perivascular spaces (PVS) volume are associated with disease progression through impairment of waste-clearance glymphatic pathways. Volume of CSF, PVS, and drainage structures such as venous sinus are mostly excluded in current MRI studies of premanifest synucleinopathy.

Integrating brainstem and cortical functional architectures
Abstract The brainstem is a fundamental component of the central nervous system yet it is typically excluded from in vivo human brain mapping efforts, precluding a complete understanding of how the brainstem influences cortical function. Here we use high-resolution 7 Tesla fMRI to derive a functional connectome encompassing cortex as well as 58 brainstem nuclei spanning the midbrain, pons and medulla.

Electrocardiographic findings and prognostic values in patients hospitalised with COVID-19 in the World Heart Federation Global Study
Discussion We presented the results of the impact of major ECG abnormalities in a large cohort of individuals with confirmed COVID-19 disease from four different continents. In our study, after adjustment in multivariate analyses accounting for many potential confounders, the presence of an HR >120 bpm was a consistent predictor of all evaluated outcomes and the presence of any major abnormality of death and cardiovascular events.

Factors affecting achievement of glycemic targets among type 2 diabetes patients in South Asia: analysis of the CARRS Trial
Abstract Objective To assess the predictors of achieving and maintaining guideline-recommended glycemic control in people with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes. Methods We analyzed data from the Centre for Cardiometabolic Risk Reduction in South Asia (CARRS) Trial (n=1146), to identify groups that achieved guideline-recommended glycemic control (HbA1c<7%) and those that remained persistently poorly controlled (HbA1c>9%) over a median of 28 months of follow-up.

Malaria vaccine candidate based on Duffy-binding protein elicits strain transcending functional antibodies in a Phase I trial
A total of 128 male subjects were evaluated for the presence of detectable PvDBPII antibodies at the first screening visit. From the 110 PvDBPII antibody negative subjects, 71 were further screened at the second screening visit for haematological and biochemical laboratory parameters, and predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria, as per approved protocol. From 49 subjects who met the enrolment criteria, 36 subjects were randomized in a 3:1 scheme in 3 cohorts.

Cost-effectiveness of interventions to control cardiovascular diseases and diabetes mellitus in South Asia: a systematic review
We have not planned to include economic evaluations based on observational studies in the protocol but we have included it in our review. The more inclusive criteria enabled us to provide a more comprehensive review of the evidence base surrounding the topic. Risk of bias assessment in randomised trials was not conducted using Cochrane methods as Drummond and Evers checklists are inclusive of methodological quality assessments of economic evaluations alongside randomised trials as well.

Mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) is the most common form of TBI (70–90%) with consequences of anxiety-like behavioral alterations in approximately 23% of mTBI cases. This study aimed to assess whether mTBI-induced anxiety-like behavior is a consequence of neurometabolic alterations. mTBI was induced using a weight drop model to simulate mild human brain injury in rodents.
