A longitudinal dataset of hypertensive osteoporotic fracture patients: treatments and long-term outcomes
Abstract Osteoporotic fractures (OPF) and hypertension frequently co-occur in older adults, yet comprehensive datasets integrating clinical, pharmacological, and longitudinal outcome data remain scarce. We describe a longitudinal dataset derived from the Osteoporotic Fracture Registration System at Kunshan Hospital, Jiangsu University, including patients aged ≥ 50 years hospitalized for OPF between 2017 and 2024. A total of 4,782 patients were initially registered.
Building the Talent Pipeline for the Nonprofit Sector: An Integrated Leadership Development Model in Hong Kong
ABSTRACT Nonprofits around the globe are facing a shortage of human resources, especially in regard to senior management and leadership. This challenge is particularly acute in human service organizations where leaders must balance complex client needs with organizational sustainability. This problem is exacerbated by the lack of programs on leadership development and skills training for nonprofit practitioners.

Analysis of Rib Spalling Issues and Prevention Measures in Railway Tunnel Construction
1. Introduction The construction of railway tunnels is of great significance for modern transportation and urban development. After tunnel excavation, for some hard surrounding rocks with good rock quality, the deformation caused by excavation is small and can tend to stabilize in a short period of time. That is, hard surrounding rocks have a certain degree of self stabilization ability, which is conducive to tunnel construction.

Abstract: Objective The CRISPR/Cas9 system was utilized to generate an Apoe knockout mice model to support further investigations of the role of Apoe in lipid metabolism and atherosclerosis. Methods Two single guide RNAs designed for Apoe in C57BL/6J mice were co-injected with Cas9 mRNA into fertilized eggs, followed by transplantation into ICR recipient mice to obtain F0 generation mice. KO mice were identified by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) screening of tail DNA.

High sensitivity optical pressure sensor based on graphene/molybdenum disulfide composite film
In this paper, a high sensitivity optical pressure sensor based on a graphene/molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) composite film is proposed. The sensor is composed of a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) pyramid structure, graphene/MoS2 composite film, and lithium niobate waveguide. The pressure deforms the PDMS pyramid structure, which leads to the change of the refractive index of the graphene/MoS2 composite film, and finally be detectable sensitively by the variation of the interference spectrum.

The Impact of Travel Scenarios and Perceptions on Choice Behavior towards Multi-Forms of Ride-Hailing Services: Case of Nanjing, China
1. Introduction With the rapid development of mobile Internet, many kinds of sharing economies have emerged into the lives of urban residents. As a significant supplement of electronic commerce, ride-hailing platforms connect travelers with drivers to provide transportation services through information networks [1,2]. Unlike taxi services, ride-hailing platforms allow private car owners or drivers to provide services for travelers.

Multimode interference methane sensor based on a ZIF-8/PDMS composite film
A multimode interference methane sensor based on a ZIF-8/PDMS composite film is proposed. The sensing principle is that the refractive index of the ZIF-8/PDMS composite film changes when it adsorbs methane, leading to a measurable optical path difference during the coupling of the cladding higher-order modes and the fundamental mode in the multimode interference fiber (MMI).
U-shaped relationship found between fibrinogen-to-albumin ratio and systemic inflammation response index in osteoporotic fracture patients - Scientific Reports
Abstract The relationship between the Systemic Inflammatory Response Index (SIRI) and the Fibrinogen-to-albumin ratio (FAR) has not been extensively investigated. The objective of this study was to determine the independent relationship between FAR and SIRI in people with osteoporotic fractures (OPF). A cross-sectional study was conducted using retrospective data from 3431 hospitalized OPF patients. The exposure variable in this study was the baseline FAR, while the outcome variable was the SIRI.

Osteocyte-derived sclerostin impairs cognitive function during ageing and Alzheimer’s disease progression - Nature Metabolism
Abstract Ageing increases susceptibility to neurodegenerative disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Serum levels of sclerostin, an osteocyte-derived Wnt–β-catenin signalling antagonist, increase with age and inhibit osteoblastogenesis. As Wnt–β-catenin signalling acts as a protective mechanism for memory, we hypothesize that osteocyte-derived sclerostin can impact cognitive function under pathological conditions.

3.3. Discharge Characteristics of Gas–Liquid Discharge Plasma First, the effect of time-voltage on the discharge morphology of gas–liquid discharge plasma is studied. Images of the plasma morphology are captured using a digital camera (EOS 70D, Canon) with an exposure time of 50 ms, as shown in Figure 4. It is observed that the discharge intensity and morphology change significantly with increasing voltage applied.

Sensor data reduction with novel local neighborhood information granularity and rough set approach
1 Introduction In sensor data processing systems, researchers are often confronted with large amounts of multimodal and complex sensing data. To deal with these sensing data, data description and data reduction are pivotal process. For data acquisition, rough sets based models are considered as effective approaches in recent years [1, 2]. Rough set theory [3] was proposed in 1982 by Pawlak as a mathematical tool for analyzing and handling imprecise, inconsistent, and incomplete information.

Experimental design The objective of this study was to determine the role of β-catenin signaling in maintaining spine tissue homeostasis and in the development of spine degeneration. We first analyzed β-catenin protein levels by IHC and LBP by analyzing VAS scores in patients with spine degeneration. Correlations between β-catenin expression and VAS scores were assessed using Pearson’s rank correlation test.
