Interestingly, the event had all its favorites, including Sam Burns, Justin Thomas, and Keegan Bradley struggling outside the top 10.

Masters 2023: Here's everyone who has qualified so far to compete at Augusta National (we think)
For many golf fans, the void created by the end of the PGA Tour’s fall season brings about an involuntary response: So, how many days until the Masters, again? Die-hards will know it’s 136 until Thursday’s opening round, and here’s hoping Tom Watson can make it back as an honorary starter after his go-kart accident last week. Meanwhile, the prospect of a new tee box being used on the par-5 13th at Augusta National already has fans anxious for April to get here ASAP.
Lee holds off Spieth, wins again at low-scoring Byron Nelson
McKINNEY, Texas (AP) — K.H. Lee ran across the fairway to try to get a better view of the key shot in his second consecutive victory in the Byron Nelson. The South Korean must have known it would be close, same as the low-scoring drama around him that included hometown favorite Jordan Spieth and a couple of other major winners in Hideki Matsuyama and Justin Thomas.
K.H. Lee, world’s ‘sexiest golfer,’ hopes to repeat at AT&T Byron Nelson
K.H. Lee is looking for his second PGA Tour victory with a repeat win at the AT&T Byron Nelson tournament this weekend. The 30-year-old golfer, who once said being named the “sexiest golfer in the world” is one of his biggest aspirations, started Friday’s second round at 1-under par through four holes. It's staggering how many PGA Tour pros have earned $1 million paydays in a single week
It was a big day on Sunday for Cameron Smith at the Sentry Tournament of Champions. As headlines trumpeted afterward, the 28-year-old Australian held off World No. 1 Jon Rahm to win his fourth career PGA Tour title, doing it in style by setting the new PGA Tour scoring mark for lowest 72-hole total in relation to par (34 under). Less well known was that in winning at Kapalua’s Plantation Course, Smith earned the largest single payday of his young and burgeoning pro golf career: $1.475 million.
My golf journey
K.H. Lee (Philstar.com) - June 14, 2021 - 5:07pm When I earned my first PGA Tour victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson in May, one of the best messages I received was from my parents, who sent a congratulatory video. They were so happy to see my success but it gave me mixed feelings, both happy and sad. Like many, my parents have sacrificed a lot for me. They have supported me in golf since I was young and it has been a while that I’ve seen them in person due to COVID-19.

Schwartzel falls short at Byron Nelson, Lee claims first win
South Korea’s Lee Kyoung-hoon stormed to his first PGA Tour victory at the Byron Nelson on Sunday, while Charl Schwartzel signed off in T3. Lee produced an excellent Sunday showing at the TPC Craig Ranch by shooting a final-round six-under-par 66. With overnight leader Sam Burns stagnating on the final hurdle, Lee jumped to the opportunity to move to the top of the leaderboard. He rolled in five birdies on the front nine, adding to the bogey he made on 9, before going two under after the turn.

SOUTH KOREAN K.H. LEE got his maiden victory at the AT&T Byron Nelson in his 80th start on the PGA TOUR. It came after a long weather delay at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. The 29-year-old Lee shot a 66 on a soggy Sunday to finish 25 under, good for a 3-stroke victory over Sam Burns. "I (didn't) want to look on the leaderboard," Lee said after the long round. "I'm very excited and happy." In a sense, Lee came out of nowhere.
