QUINCY (WGEM) - The Quincy Doggy Paddlers stayed in control of the Northwest Division race with a 16-7 win over the Clinton LumberKings on Friday, keeping themselves in position to clinch a first-half playoff berth with one game left. (Highlights provided above.) With one game left in the first half, the division leader after Saturday guarantees a playoff spot. Quincy clinches with a win. If the Paddlers lose and Clinton wins, the LumberKings would take the spot.

QUINCY (WGEM) - Quincy High junior Khloe Nicholson has had a summer few athletes get to experience. Just a month ago, Nicholson competed at the 2026 USA Basketball Women’s U17 National Team trials; an invite-only opportunity for 45 players nationwide, with just 12 ultimately making the roster. Nicholson didn’t land one of those 12 spots, but she said the invitation alone meant a lot.

QUINCY (WGEM) - Golfers from near and far showed out in Quincy for this year’s Little People’s golf championships. Going up against the competition proved to be no concern for a handful of local golfers who came away with some hardware of their own. For Quincy High’s Hunter St. Clair, he takes the first place finish for the boys 14-18 year-old division. As a Quincy kid, a win like this means the world to him. “I couldn’t have scripted it any better. I wanted to win it.
