Altered microbial diversity and composition of multiple mucosal organs in cervical cancer patients - BMC Cancer
Patients with CC admitted to the Third Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University between December 2021 and July 2022 were selected. Patients who met the following criteria were enrolled: (i) All CC patients were pathologically diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma or adenocarcinoma. (ii) Age: 18–75 years. (iii) At the time of initial diagnosis of CC, there were no tumors in other sites and patients did not receive antineoplastic therapy.

A prediction model based on MRI and ultrasound to predict the risk of PAS in patient with placenta previa
To investigate the risk factors affecting patients with placenta previa (PP) and to construct an effective prediction model for the severity of PAS in PP. A total of 240 pregnant women with PP were enrolled in this study. An MRI+Ultrasound-based model was developed to classify patients into placental implantation and non-placental implantation groups. Multivariate nomograms were created based on imaging features. The model was evaluated using Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curve analysis.

Summary Background Detecting microsatellite instability (MSI) in colorectal cancer is crucial for clinical decision making, as it identifies patients with differential treatment response and prognosis. Universal MSI testing is recommended, but many patients remain untested. A critical need exists for broadly accessible, cost-efficient tools to aid patient selection for testing.
Formation of uniform carrot-like Cu31S16-CuInS2 heteronanostructures assisted by citric acid at the oil/aqueous interface
A simple two-phase was developed to prepare Cu31S16-CuInS2 heterostructures (HNS) at the oil/aqueous interface, in which In(OH)3 phase was often obtained in the products due to the reaction between indium ions and hydroxyl ions in the aqueous phase. To prevent the formation of In(OH)3 phase, the citric acid was incorporated into the aqueous to assist the synthesis of uniform carrot-like Cu31S16-CuInS2 semiconductor HNS at the oil/aqueous interface for the first time.

The thermocapillary convection, which is driven by bidirectional temperature gradients, widely exists in the process of crystal growth and plays an important role in affecting the quality of production. The bidirectional temperature gradients are made up of the temperature difference between inner wall and outer wall along the horizontal direction, the heat flux from the bottom in the vertical direction, and the radiation on the free surface.

A simple low-cost and phosphine-free colloidal method was developed to prepare disk-shaped Cu2-xS nanocrystals (NCs) with different crystal structures and basal planes, which could be manipulated effectively by varying the molar ratios of Cu:S precursors and the amount of the surfactants.
Real-time monitoring AP site incision caused by APE1 using a modified hybridization probe
The human AP-endonuclease (APE1), an essential multifunctional protein, plays a central role in the repair of oxidative base damage via the DNA base excision repair pathway. APE1 overexpression is often observed in tumor cells, and confers resistance to various anticancer drugs; its downregulation sensitizes tumor cells to those agents via induction of apoptosis. Thus, the assay of APE1 activity is necessary for tumor diagnosis, therapy and target drug development.
