Personally. That's really it. When someone has clearly read our publication and reaches out, I know it instantly.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Other than the usual suspects, I use Trello for publication planning and Bear for notetaking and story research.

Why did you become a journalist?

There are stories to tell that aren't being told. If I don't feel like I'm bringing new ideas and stories to the forefront, then I'm out.
