Chromosome-level genome assembly of a cultivated tea tree ( Camellia sinensis ) cultivar Licha 5
Abstract Camellia sinensis is a globally important perennial crop plant cultivated for tea production. Here, we present a high-quality chromosome-level genome assembly of a cultivated tea cultivar named Licha 5, collected from Lishui, China. We combined PacBio HiFi long-read sequencing, Illumina short-read sequencing, and Hi-C scaffolding to assemble a 3.10 Gb genome comprising 15 pseudochromosomes.
mtROS-NF-κB signaling supports ILC3 function and survival during sepsis-induced intestinal injury
Abstract Sepsis frequently induces intestinal barrier injury, which exacerbates systemic inflammation, and contributes to high mortality. Group 3 innate lymphoid cells (ILC3s) are key regulators of mucosal immunity, yet their role in sepsis-associated intestinal injury remains incompletely understood. We found circulating ILCPs were reduced in patients with sepsis.
Herbivory-Induced Stomatal Opening Triggers the Dispersal of an Invasive Insect Herbivore
1 Introduction Upon herbivore attack, plants produce and release complex mixtures of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) [1]. These herbivory-induced plant volatiles (HIPVs) play important roles in interactions between plants and herbivores. HIPVs are known to serve as direct defenses repelling herbivores, and as indirect defenses attracting natural enemies to herbivore-attacked plants, which benefit both plants and natural enemies [1].
Machine learning model for predicting the risk of AKI in early hemodynamically stable sepsis patients: a study based on the MIMIC IV database
Abstract Background: The increasing prevalence and mortality of sepsis and acute kidney injury (AKI) pose significant threats to the survival of critically ill patients worldwide. Consequently, it’s essential to identify patients with sepsis-associated AKI early and to ascertain its risk factors. This study developed a machine learning (ML) model to identify patients at high risk of AKI among the hemodynamically stable sepsis.
Somatic mutations distinguish melanocyte subpopulations in human skin
Abstract Here, to understand the homeostatic mechanisms governing melanocytes, we interrogate the mutational landscapes, gene-expression profiles and morphological features of 297 clonal expansions of epidermal melanocytes from 31 donors. We show that a population of melanocytes with low mutation burden persists in sun-exposed epidermis. These cells are smaller, less dendritic, and exhibit stem-like expression profiles when compared to melanocytes carrying high mutation burdens.
HDAC inhibitor tucidinostat and metronomic capecitabine plus endocrine therapy for patients with HR-positive HER2-negative advanced breast cancer after CDK4/6 inhibitors treatment: clinical findings and exploratory circulating tumor cell and ctDNA biomark
Abstract Treatment options for patients with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-negative advanced breast cancer (ABC) that progresses after CDK4/6 inhibitor (CDK4/6i) continue to evolve, and no single regimen has been established as the preferred standard of care.
The study on the relationship between disease control status of children with asthma and caregiver psychological resilience and family function
Abstract Background: Asthma is a common chronic disease in children, and its control level is influenced by multiple factors. The psychological state of caregivers and family function may play important roles. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between asthma control in children and caregiver psychological resilience and family function.
Epidemiology and risk factors for corneal blindness in China: a multicentre retrospective study of 15,937 inpatients - Eye
|
Abstract To describe the demographic and clinical characteristics of inpatients with corneal blindness in China and identify independent risk factors. This multicentre, retrospective, observational study was conducted by 16 clinical centres in 15 provincial-level administrative regions across China. Inpatients discharged with a primary diagnosis of corneal disease between January 1, 2019, and December 31, 2021, were included.

A Framework for Visualizing Somatic Alterations in Spatial Tran" by Limin Chen, Darwin Chang et al.
Keywords Humans, Formaldehyde, Transcriptome, Paraffin Embedding, Neoplasms, Gene Expression Profiling, High-Throughput Nucleotide Sequencing Abstract Spatial transcriptomic technologies, such as the Visium platform, measure gene expression in different regions of tissues. Here, we describe new software, STmut, to visualize somatic point mutations, allelic imbalance, and copy number alterations in Visium data.

DNAJC5 facilitates the proliferation and migration of lung adenocarcinoma cells by augmenting EGFR trafficking - Communications Biology
Abstract Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a highly prevalent and lethal malignant tumor, with the aberrantly activated EGFR signaling pathway playing a crucial role in its development. However, resistance to tyrosine-kinase inhibitors (TKIs) targeting EGFR significantly limits the efficacy of LUAD clinical therapy. Therefore, it is imperative to identify novel therapeutic targets and elucidate the regulatory mechanisms of EGFR for improving LUAD treatment outcomes.

Somatic mutations distinguish melanocyte subpopulations in human skin
Abstract To better understand the homeostatic mechanisms governing melanocytes, we performed deep phenotyping of clonal expansions of single melanocytes from human skin. In total, we interrogated the mutational landscapes, gene expression profiles, and morphological features of 297 melanocytes from 31 donors. To our surprise, a population of melanocytes with low mutation burden was maintained in sun damaged skin.

Morpholinyl Dendrimer Phthalocyanine: Synthesis, Photophysical Properties and Photoinduced Intramolecular Electron Transfer
A novel series of morpholinyl dendrimer phthalocyanines was synthesized. Their structures were characterized by 1H NMR, IR, elemental analysis, ESI-MS as well as MALDI-TOF mass methods. The photophysical properties of these phthalocyanines were studied by UV/Vis and fluorescence spectroscopic methods. The photophysical properties of these dendrimer phthalocyanines exhibited morpholinyl units number and central ions dependence.
