Mechanistic insights into phosphorylation-driven activation and therapeutic inhibition of human ATR–ATRIP
Abstract The ATR–ATRIP complex regulates the DNA replication stress and is targeted in cancer therapy, but the molecular mechanisms of its activation and inhibition have remained unclear.
The SIMDA framework maps PIP2-binding sites regulating the KCNQ1 channel
Abstract Voltage-gated potassium channel KCNQ1 (Kv7.1) underpins cardiac repolarization, epithelial ion transport, and inner ear function. Its versatility arises from interactions with KCNE proteins, calmodulin (CaM), and the lipid phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2), yet the molecular basis of PIP2 regulation remains incompletely understood.
Inflammatory-neurological deficit versus metabolic dysregulation: unsupervised clustering and SHAP analysis
Abstract Objective: This retrospective cohort study enrolled 20,538 middle-aged and older patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS) to identify immune-metabolic clinical subtypes by unsupervised clustering, to examine the differential association between subtype characteristics and post-stroke epilepsy (PSE) susceptibility, and to clarify immune-related threshold biomarkers for individualized PSE risk stratification.
BAP1 deficiency-induced SKA3 promotes clear cell renal cell carcinoma malignant progression by regulating chromosomal instability
Abstract Chromosomal instability (CIN), a hallmark of malignancy, remains poorly understood in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Here, we identify spindle and kinetochore-associated protein 3 (SKA3) as a critical regulator of CIN in ccRCC. BAP1 loss-of-function mutations, prevalent in ccRCC, drive aberrant SKA3 overexpression. Mechanistically, BAP1 deubiquitinates nuclear receptor co-repressor 1 (NCOR1) to enhance its recruitment to the SKA3 promoter, thereby repressing SKA3 transcription.

Advances and prospects in cell therapy for cancer: explorations from T cells to stem cells
Abstract The increasing global burden of cancer necessitates innovative therapeutic strategies. Cell therapy represents a major breakthrough in oncology, evolving rapidly from the successful application of chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cells in hematologic malignancies to a multiplatform landscape characterized by the concurrent development of diverse strategies.
Parents’ willingness to vaccinate their children with special health care needs: a cross-sectional study
Abstract Background Parents of children with special health care needs (CSHCN) usually hesitate to vaccinate their children, yet limited data on factors influencing parents’ willingness to vaccinate their children are available. Our study aimed to reveal parents’ willingness to immunize their children with the Expanded Programme on Immunization Vaccines and identify determinants influencing parents’ willingness.
Community structure and biodiversity of benthic macroalgae in the Shengsi Archipelago of the East China Sea
Abstract Introduction: This study focused on benthic macroalgal communities in the Shengsi Archipelago, East China Sea, a region jointly influenced by pronounced environmental heterogeneity driven by the interplay of the Yangtze River diluted water and the Taiwan Warm Current, and intensive mussel aquaculture.
microRNA-25 drives immune checkpoint therapy resistance by repressing innate and humoral immunity via Syndecan-3
Abstract Immune checkpoint therapy (ICT) can induce durable tumor control but is limited by primary and acquired resistance. The mechanisms underlying immune-resistant tumor microenvironments (TMEs) remain incompletely understood. Here we show that deletion of microRNA-25 (miR-25) sensitizes tumors to ICT across multiple syngeneic mouse models.
Neutrophil Elastase as a Prognostic Biomarker and Driver of Tumor Progression in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma
1 Introduction Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) represents the most prevalent subtype of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. It is an aggressive and potentially life-threatening malignancy that remains challenging to manage clinically [1]. The clinical presentation of DLBCL is heterogeneous, with patients often exhibiting diverse symptoms and disease characteristics, which complicates therapeutic decision-making.

A total of 57 patients in the control group received pneumatic compression therapy, while 57 patients in the CDT group received additional CDT.
Characterizing alterations in attention networks under high mental workload - Scientific Reports
Abstract With the rapid development of modern society, occupational populations commonly face work states characterized by high mental workload (HMW). HMW can rapidly mobilize and deplete an individual’s cognitive resources within a short timeframe. As attention constitutes a fundamental cognitive quality, it is inevitably impacted by HMW, leading to issues such as impaired attentional function and decreased task performance.
PRMT3-mediated post-translational adaptation to fasting regulates metabolic flexibility - Nature Communications
Abstract Obesity impairs metabolic flexibility—the capacity to adapt to fluctuating energy demands. Emerging evidence suggests that dietary interventions, particularly time-restricted feeding (TRF), may help restore this flexibility. In this study, we demonstrate that feeding upregulates PRMT3 and asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA)-containing proteins via insulin–pAKT signaling, while fasting reduces their expression.

Probiotics and Their Antimicrobial Metabolites: A Collegial Strategy for Food Bio‐Preservation – A Review
1 Introduction The integrity of the global food chain is fundamentally dependent on effective safety and preservation strategies. Foodborne illnesses, caused by pathogens such as Salmonella spp., Listeria monocytogenes, and Escherichia coli, remain a severe public health burden, causing an estimated 600 million cases and 420,000 deaths annually worldwide (Ndondo 2023).

Tissue‐Resident Macrophage‐Derived E3 Ligase SMURF2 Restricts Autoimmune Inflammation by Mediating the Degradation of p‐TBK1
1 Introduction Tissue-resident macrophages (TRMs) are localized within mucosal tissues, including the intestine, skin, lung, as well as parenchymal organs such as the heart, brain, liver, and spleen.[1] TRMs integrate signals from various environmental sensors to orchestrate adaptive cellular responses that are critical for the growth, remodeling, and homeostasis of specialized tissues.[2] The differentiation, proliferation, and survival of TRMs are primarily governed by macrophage...

Abstract Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Sodium niobate (NaNbO3) is recognized as a promising photocatalyst for solar energy conversion. However, its practical application in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution (PHE) is severely limited by inherent drawbacks, including low quantum efficiency, insufficient visible-light absorption, and poor charge separation efficiency.
A CD4+ T lymphocyte–specific TCR/GSDMD/IL-2 axis facilitates antitumor immunity
Abstract Gasdermin (GSDM) family proteins mediate tumor pyroptosis and impact cancer progression, but other than that, their involvement in the tumor immune microenvironment remains largely unknown. Here, we show that activation of GSDMD in human tumor specimens mainly occurs in tumor-infiltrating leukocytes. Significantly, GSDMD deficiency or its inactivation in CD4+ T cells disabled CD8+ T cell–mediated antitumor immunity and caused tumor outgrowth in mice.
