Lizzie Seils
VerifiedLizzie Seils’s Biography
I didn't grow up always knowing I wanted to be a journalist. Truthfully, when I was little, I really wanted to be a ballerina. When I was in high school, I wanted to be a neuroscientist (until I realized I'm extremely squeamish, and blood was not for me let alone brain matter).
I picked up my journalism major as a passing interest, a way to turn a writing hobby into a career if the need arose. Now, I've found myself steeped in news and captivated by the ability to tell stories that matter, and make the craziness of politics, legislature and every day life more understandable.
My greatest asset in the willingness to work in multiple types of media and areas of coverage. I've covered a variety of topics from small-town politics to local music events with a specialized Master's Degree in Public Affairs Reporting.
I've also done television reporting, print reporting and online reporting, as well as online and newspaper page design. I'm something of a jack of all trades and willing to share these skills no matter what area of the industry I end up in.
