The City of Senatobia fired Police Chief Harold “Hal” Vanderford after rejecting his resignation at Tuesday night’s Board of Aldermen meeting. It is the second time in 14 months that Senatobia has removed a police chief.
Police: 2-year-old killed in domestic homicide, mother found with self-inflicted injuries
FRANKFORT, Ill. (WLS) – A 2-year-old died in a “domestic-related homicide” in Frankfort, Illinois, and the child’s mother was hospitalized after hurting herself, according to police. The 2-year-old was found Tuesday when officers responded to a home where a child was unresponsive. Authorities arrived and performed CPR on the child, who was taken to a hospital and later pronounced dead.

Woman accused of driving drunk through construction zone, dragging worker

Mary McGhee, 64, was charged with a third-offense driving while intoxicated and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She remained held in the Brazos County Detention Center on bonds totaling $70,000.
More than 80 cars vandalized after man smashes windshields with brick
RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT/Gray News) - Dozens of drivers in Virginia returned to a parking lot and found their cars undrivable on Tuesday morning. Richmond police said an individual smashed more than 80 cars in a parking lot near Main Street Station. It happened at a parking lot around 11 a.m. According to police, officers were able to get the suspect in custody quickly. “I saw them putting him in cuffs and getting into the ambulance,” Sydney Lee said.
