PTK7 scaffolds DNA-PKcs to promote DNA damage response and immune evasion in triple-negative breast cancer
Abstract Membrane proteins with nuclear localization often exert non-canonical functions. PTK7, an evolutionarily conserved pseudokinase and a prominent therapeutic target, is primarily recognized for its cell-surface signaling; however, its intracellular role in tumor biology remains unclear. Here, we identify a previously unrecognized role of PTK7 in coordinating DNA damage response and tumor immune response in triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).
Bithionol induces ROS-driven cell death by dual targeting of glutathione S-transferases and mitochondria
Abstract Cancer cells often overexpress glutathione S-transferases (GSTs) to enhance ROS scavenging and drug detoxification thereby supporting proliferation and driving chemoresistance. While human GST inhibitors are actively pursued in oncology, their efficacy is often limited. Here, through co-crystal structures, derivative analysis, and mutagenesis studies, we identify bithionol as a multi-GST inhibitor that occupies the xenobiotic-binding H-site.

RACK1 maintains mouse hematopoietic stem cells by directly binding to and stabilizing LDB1
Abstract A core complex with transcription factors (TFs) TAL1/TCF3/GATA2 and adaptors LMO2/LDB1 lies at the top of the hematopoietic transcriptional hierarchy. The mechanism(s) underlying the expression of these components remain elusive. Adaptor RACK1 interacts with multiple TFs and modulates their activation and/or stability. However, a role of RACK1 in the transcriptional control of hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) fates hasn’t been disclosed.
Synergistic p53 Pathway Activation Through Sono-Gene Therapy Induced by Ultrasound-Triggered Theranostic Mesoporous Nanoparticles
1 Introduction The clinical profile of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is marked by insidious onset, aggressive progression, and a typically grave prognosis [1, 2]. Despite recent advances in diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, HCC continues to pose a significant challenge due to its poor overall prognosis and alarmingly low 5-year survival rate, particularly in late-stage disease [3, 4], underscoring the urgent need for innovative treatment strategies.

Interferon‐Driven Biomarkers and Synergistic Therapy for PRMT5 Inhibition in Triple‐Negative Breast Cancer
1 Introduction Breast cancer remains the most prevalent malignancy and a leading cause of cancer-related mortality among women worldwide.[1] Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), characterized by the absence of estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), presents a formidable challenge due to its limited responsiveness to traditional endocrine and HER2-targeted therapies.[2] Despite surgery and chemotherapy being the current mainstays of TNBC...

Brainstem dominant form of X‐linked adrenoleukodystrophy with a novel ABCD1 missense variant: A case report and literature review
1 INTRODUCTION X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy (X-ALD) is a common, progressive peroxisomal disorder. Due to different types of adenosine triphosphate-binding cassette subfamily D, member 1 (ABCD1) gene variations, these hereditary factors lead to the deficiency of peroxisomal enzymes and the accumulation of very long-chain fatty acids (VLCFAs) in the brain white matter and adrenal glands, resulting in central nervous system lesions and adrenal dysfunction (Gujral & Sethuram, 2023).

Microscopic study of the hot-fusion reaction $^{48}\mathrm{Ca}+^{238}\mathrm{U}$ with the constraints from time-dependent Hartree-Fock theory
Abstract Based on the microscopic descriptions of the ground state with static Hartree-Fock calculations and reaction dynamic using time-dependent Hartree-Fock (TDHF) theory, in combination with coupled-channel and fusion-by-diffusion models the capture and fusion processes of the hot-fusion reaction Ca48+U238 are investigated. Considering the survival of the compound nucleus with statistical models, our calculations reproduce the experimental evaporation-residue cross sections.
Effects of In-Situ Reaction, Extrusion Ratio and CeO2 on the Performance of Al-Ti-C-(Ce) Grain Refiners for Refining Pure Aluminum Grains
Abstract : Al-Ti-C-(Ce) grain refiners were prepared by combining in-situ reaction, hot extrusion, and adding CeO2. The effects of second phase TiC particle size and distribution, extrusion ratio, and Ce addition on the grain-refining performance of grain refiners were investigated. The results show that about 10 nm TiC particles are dispersed on the surface and inside of 100–200 nm Ti particles by in-situ reaction.
PD-1 inhibitors with Antiangiogenic therapy for HCC
Introduction The incidence of liver cancer has been increasing in many countries in recent decades. As the most common histological type of liver cancer, hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) accounts for most liver cancer diagnoses and deaths.1 Chronic viral hepatitis and progressive liver cirrhosis are the main causes of HCC.2 Based on Barcelona staging (BCLC), the most suitable candidate for TACE is with intermediate-stage HCC (BCLC-B).

Microscopic study of fusion reactions with a weakly bound nucleus: Effects of deformed halo
Abstract We present a microscopic study on the fusion reactions C14,15+Th232 by emphasizing the effect of deformed halo structure on reaction dynamics within the framework of time-dependent density functional theory. The internuclear potentials are obtained by using the density-constraint frozen Hartree-Fock approach and then are adopted to calculate the fusion cross sections of C14,15+Th232, taking all the orientations of deformed reactants into account.

Analysis of stability law and optimization of slope angle during excavation of deep concave mine slope
Analysis of experimental scheme. According to the simulation results of schemes 1~2, the distribution rules of the horizontal stress, horizontal displacement, vertical stress, and vertical displacement are similar to the design scheme. Among them, the horizontal displacement in schemes 1 and 2 changes with the slope angle, the negative horizontal displacement decreases, and the positive horizontal displacement increases gradually (Tables 4 and 5).

Transcriptional repression of p21 by EIF1AX promotes the proliferation of breast cancer cells
1 INTRODUCTION Dysregulation of cell cycle progression is common in tumorigenesis; it leads to the over‐proliferation of cells. Cyclin‐dependent kinases (CDKs) regulate the cell cycle, and their activity is partially inhibited by CDK inhibitors, including p21 (also known as CDKN1A).

A high performance electrochemical deionization method to desalinate brackish water with FePO4/RGO nanocomposite
Capacitive deionization (CDI) is a promising technique that may be applied in the desalination of brackish water. However, current CDI technologies suffer from low removal capacity and the inapplicability for high concentration brine. Hence, here we introduce a new electrochemical deionization (EDI) method that achieves excellent deionization performance with a faradaic mechanism.
